Why would a guitar amplifier emit a loud humming sound whenever you touch your thumb to the tip of the phone plug?

I love playing guitar, I think that guitar amplifiers has very small signal from the guitar pick up but we need a higher boost to drive the main amplifier. The human body is also oddly noisy. I hope this will help you. There is no need to worry about it.
